Permanent Transfer Confirmed
Birmingham City have confirmed that Bailey Peacock-Farrell has left the club on a permanent transfer to League One side Blackpool. The move was completed at the close of the January transfer window and brings an end to the goalkeeper’s spell at St Andrew’s, as he embarks on the next chapter of his professional career.
Time at Birmingham City
Peacock-Farrell originally joined Birmingham City in the summer of 2024 from Burnley, arriving with experience across the English Football League and at international level. From the outset, he entered a competitive goalkeeping department, which limited his opportunities for regular first-team football. Despite this, his approach throughout his time at the club was consistently professional and focused on contributing positively whenever required.
Professionalism and Commitment
During his spell with the Blues, Peacock-Farrell was widely regarded for his work ethic in training and his readiness to step into the side when called upon. His attitude and commitment ensured he remained a dependable member of the squad, offering support and competition within the goalkeeping unit. Supporters will recall his calm presence and willingness to organise those in front of him, traits that are particularly valued in his position.
Move to Blackpool
After initially joining Blackpool on loan in the summer of 2025, Peacock-Farrell went on to impress during his time with the Seasiders. His performances and reliability earned the trust of the club, leading to the decision to complete a permanent transfer on 30 January 2026. The move provides him with the opportunity for more regular first-team football, an important factor for any goalkeeper seeking to maintain form and momentum.
Looking Ahead
The transfer represents a logical step for Peacock-Farrell as he looks to progress his career and continue pursuing his ambitions at both club level and on the international stage with Northern Ireland. Further information on his career history and international involvement can be found via BBC Sport.
